Paper filters FPT
Curved bed paper filters used for filtering large flow rates.
Performance
- The roll of filtering paper is trapped between the filtering bed and two discs on either side of the bed, which serve as guides and seals for the filtering paper.
- The liquid passes through the paper in such a way that the solid is retained by the paper, while the filtered liquid moves towards the storage tank.
- As the paper becomes clogged with dirt, the liquid is unable to pass through, forming a layer of liquid on top of the paper.
- The accumulated liquid rises until it reaches a certain level, triggering a level detection probe.
- This probe moves the mobile bed along with the dirty paper, which has adhered to its surface, until the liquid level drops again as it comes into contact with the next clean portion of the paper.
- Once the level drops, the mobile bed stops and remains in this state until the paper becomes clogged again, at which point the process repeats.
